‘Heart and Sole’ team raise money for the British Heart Foundation
The ARAMARK Healthcare team at the Orchards, Broadacres, may be small but that doesn’t stop them from making a big impact when it comes to fundraising.
They put their best feet forward to help combat heart disease, with a 13 mile charity walk along with Scheme Co-ordinater Rowena Langdale and others in the team.
Catering Manager Sue Campbell says, ‘We did a 13 mile charity walk on the 13 September in aid of the British Heart Foundation, as a couple of us have connections with the charity: one of our team’s husband is awaiting heart surgery, and my husband had his first heart attack exactly six years to the day of the walk. He had another heart attack this year and a triple heart bypass followed: but fingers crossed he is now OK. We all made our own t-shirts and our team name was Heart and Soles. We had a great day and a girly weekend to boot!’
Congratulations to the team who raised an amazing £963.
